Rocky Mountain Snow Cats was first established in the 1990's to fill the need for good used snow grooming machines that were being sold by ski hills. These machines were repaired and sold to businesses involved in the clearing of ice roads, the creation and maintenance of snowmobile trails and other roadways. Snow groomers, often referred to as "snow cats" no matter what brand they are, have long been used to help in the creation and maintenance of roads in remote or hard to get to locations.
There is a large difference between a "ski hill" snow grooming machine and one that is "ready for the bush". Our Snow Cats often need to be fully serviced and repaired as required in order to provide hours of reliable service to the contractor. Our Rocky Mountain Snow Cats team of experts were often involved in building ice roads, snowmobile trails, as well as roads and trails for movie productions, and this experience has helped us gain the knowledge of what is needed in snow-bound areas.
